The Original Company
The patterns offered at our website Cute Crochet are designed exclusively by needlework pattern designer, Jocelyn Sass. They are all original patterns and are copyrighted by the designer. We are pleased to also offer a select number of original patterns for sale by Michele Wilcox and Darla Fanton!
Please note that Cute Crochet sells only the crochet instructions for making the individual items. We do not sell the completed crochet project. Cute Crochet opened for business in October 2001. We started with a small, select number of patterns and our numbers just keep growing! Cute Crochet grew out of a love of crocheting and a love of designing. Combine that with a love of country graphics and a desire to sell crochet patterns over the internet, and here we are! Of course, it did not happen all at once~! Much time, work and energy goes into the business of Cute Crochet. Jocelyn Sass is the resident designer, pattern writer and editor, photographer and photostylist, graphic designer, website designer, blogger, bookkeeper, order fulfillment staffer and shipper. Between 1990 and 2010, she wrote the bi-monthly pattern column for 'Crochet World' magazine called Country Treasures and then Timeless Treasures.
Current Companies
In addition to the original website, Cute Crochet, where Jocelyn sells printed crochet patterns by postal mail, she also opened two different Etsy shops recently. The first, Too Cute Crochet, sells original, new crochet patterns for wearable accessories for babies, children and women. These patterns are delivered to the buyer's email address by pdf, so the purchase of the pattern is almost instant. In addition, she opened another Etsy store called Cute Crochet Shop and sells some of her original Cute Crochet crochet patterns by pdf email delivery. These patterns are the same crochet patterns that are sold at www.cutecrochet.com. You now have the choice of whether you want the printed pattern or to receive the pdf pattern almost instantly!
The Designer
Needlework came naturally to me. My mother taught me to knit at age 10, and I haven't been without a needle or hook in my hand since. Crochet has been my passion for over 30 years. I have been lucky enough to turn that passion into a design business for nearly 20 years. I love color! Skeins of yarn all together contain some of the most wonderful color! My most favorite thing is to look at all the glorious colors of yarn, combine it with a hook, and turn it into something cute and whimsical. I guess I never grew up ... lucky me!

I am new to the computer-about six weeks but have crocheted for nearly 40 years. I envy your ability to knit, I've tried and tried but it seems to resent it when I loop the needles like I do the hook! I can sew ,embroider,needlepoint-if there is a needle involved I've got it covered-but to knit seems beyond me alas! I think Gina's photographs are absolutely precious. There is focus on the product with an excellent assist from the sweetness of the models.I really like your designs. For so many years crochet seemed to be hopelessly tied to tacky or it was an afghan but you certainly have helped take care of that.I look forward to keeping up with your site,it's nice to find people who appreciate the art form like I do. Happy Hooking!! Pat Stweies.Mama@gmail.com
Hi Pat!
Thank you so much for your kind words about my crochet patterns and also about Gina's photographs. I really appreciate it! I am very lucky that she decided to start doing this! Patterns sell better with good photographs!
I learned to knit before crochet, otherwise I might have the same problem as you. :)
I have been crocheting for over 30 years now; I can hardly believe it!
Thank you so much for writing!
BTW, I sent you a personal email, but it came back to me as being undeliverable. I am not sure if you had your email address correct. :)
